The Master Chief Costume

By Fred Keller

How would you like to be under an imposing armor depicting an iconic virtual soldier? If you are passionate about science fiction, video games and military stuff, the idea would probably cause your heart to jump out from overexcitement. The Master Chief costume can be worn at any costume event and is also welcome at a Halloween party. Pull off such a solid look and you won't go unnoticed.

Master Chief Petty Officer 117 is the famous hero in Halo, a first person shooter video game. He is also present in four novels under the science fiction genre. He is a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier who has been the object of recent craze of Halo video game players, impersonators or science fiction themed costume party lovers.

He is a neophyte video game character and yet he is ranked fourth in the most popular list; occupying space next to the legends Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog and Lara Croft. Master Chief costume is dominantly a green armor and helmet thing hence offering complete camouflage. The look is that of a tough gigantic soldier with nothing less than an authoritative stance no one will dare mess up with.

Sci-fi fanatics may love the guise because of its forward-looking vibe but not as much as the military buffs who are attracted to it because, despite futuristic overtones it still maintains true-to-life soldier appeal. Go to a costume party or Halloween event as Master Chief and be everybody's hero while terrifying the usual evil and villainous personas.

Getting as close as possible to the original Master Chief look costs a lot. A deluxe Master Chief costume is no ordinary outfit and costs a premium end price. It includes a jumpsuit with distressed injection armor and a helmet with a golden reflexive visor. It is of superior quality and is unquestionably worth that pay. It could easily pass as a collector's item.

If you do not have that amount, you can opt for the cheaper versions. For a reasonable cost, you can get the helmet similar to that of the deluxe variant and a molded armor attachable to your chest, arms, hips and legs. A painted jumpsuit variant with helmet also looks well and is slightly cheaper. You can also opt to buy one accessory after another so you won't have to spend big bucks in one go. A pair of gauntlets costs not too much as does a mask.

If you are an army or science fiction lover, you cannot say no to this Master Chief costume. Go get one and attend that military themed or Halloween party as the robust supersoldier.
