10 Halloween Theme Party Ideas
1. A Halloween theme party can be further narrowed down into further sub-themes, as a Halloween party can mean many things to different people.
2. You need to decide early on what kind of Halloween theme party you want. Are you going to have an open theme where people can come as they like or are you going to narrow it down to movie characters, historical figures or the more traditional and usual monsters.
3. Send out your invitations on a cut out monster, witches hat or pumpkin. State clearly on your invitations that anybody who doesn't dress up will be charged on the door!
4. For costumes, I will assume you have gone for a traditional monsters theme. There are dozens of costumes and I'm sure you've seen the many possibilities when out shopping. Some good ones are; zombies, vampires, witches, demons, cats, ghosts, wear wolves, Frankenstein and Freddy Kruger.
5. Make some pumpkin lanterns to line the path leading up to your house. You can hang them on the trees or place them on the path.
6. Replace all of your light bulbs with either red or green ones to add to the atmosphere, making it eerie. Also place plenty of candles around the room.
7. Get some models or figures of gargoyles, witches, ghosts, demons, vampires, mummies, cats and wear wolves to spread around your venue. Also get some body parts and fake blood to keep all of your guests on edge.
8. Some songs you could play would be; Thriller, Wear wolves of London, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, Monster Mash and People are Strange.
9. No Halloween theme party would be complete without sweets. Make sure you stock up with plenty of them!
10. Bake a monster cake and decorate with zombies or ghosts. Get an edible spider for the top. Also get some monster shaped cookie cutters and decorate your cookies in a similar way.
